Talleres Cándano, since 1952 offering our experience
Founded in 1952 by Don Serafín Cándano Suárez, he is currently in charge of the Jesús Cándano company as managing director of Talleres Cándano.
Dedicated to naval construction and repair, they began their activity in the Port of Cudillero (Asturias) but gradually spread throughout Spain as well as Europe, North Africa and South America.
After the first three years focused on ship repair, it quickly began to design and manufacture various types of machinery (mainly hydraulic) following the demands and requirements of the market.
Starting from the years 1956 / 1957, Talleres Cándano begins to make the complete equipment of both small and medium-high tonnage boats, starting from the completely bare hull structure.
These equipment tasks are mainly focused on the assembly of engines, a complete line of axles, tanks, bridge equipment, rudders, hydraulics and all types of machinery used in any fishing boat, whatever its modality.
To do this, Talleres Cándano has a highly qualified human team and state-of-the-art machinery, technical means and mobile fleet, which allows it to carry out all its activity in its own facilities, a 780m building2, located facing the sea in the Puerto Nuevo de Cudillero, which houses workshops, warehouses and offices.
